A loop taking in the Sharp Edge scramble, Blencathra peak, and Hall’s Fell Ridge scramble. Great trip out on some fun Grade 1 scrambles, starting and ending at the White Horse Inn. Cheeky adventure in the sun before heading away from the Lake District!

A look back across the valley with the White Horse Inn below.
First sneak peak of Sharp Edge.
Cute rock steps up to Scales Tarn.
View back along Glenderamackin Valley.
Scales Tarn with Sharp Edge catching the sun in the background!
Sharp Edge in all its glory.
Scales Tarn, looks tidy for a dip. Route down from Blencathra winding down behind.
Ooo aaa.
Let the fun begin. I love walking along ridge tops like this, finding the best path.
Epic place.
Fun taking a look back and watching people scramble along.
The Crux, I suppose. Help freaky enough in sunny dry weather, with a big drop. Would not at all fancy this in the wet, I think the rock would get quite slippery!
Crux done, taking a rest.
People watching.
So Sharp.
Up the other side towards the summit. Bit of a gully to scramble up.
All done.
Good spot for lunch.
Blencathra summit ahead.
Down to Scales Fell.
Halfway down Hall's Fell Ridge (forgot to get more picures!)
Great little scramble down.
Met this guy coming the other way, taking the escape routes rather than over the top. I reccomended he take the direct route as it actually seemed safer, but he didn't fancy it which is fair enough!
All done.
A wee loop back to the pub for a refreshing coke.
